These docs are a work in progress. Some pages may be incomplete or change as we get ready for launch.

System settings and updates

All of the settings on this page live under the Settings destination in CeraLive. Tap any entry to open its dialog.

Open Updates to see whether new software is available for your device. The dialog shows the number of packages waiting to install and the total download size.

If updates are available, tap Update to start the install. You’ll be asked to confirm before anything downloads — the process interrupts any active stream and restarts the relevant services when it’s done. A progress bar tracks the install as it runs. You can’t start a second update while one is already in progress.

If the dialog shows “No updates available,” your device is already on the latest version.

Open Power to reboot or shut down the device. Both actions are blocked while you’re streaming or while a software update is running — the dialog tells you why if that’s the case.

Reboot restarts the device and brings CeraLive back up automatically. After you confirm, the dialog shows a countdown while it waits for the device to come back online. If the device reconnects within the window, the dialog closes on its own. If it doesn’t, you’ll see a recovery option to retry or dismiss.

Power off shuts the device down completely. It won’t come back on its own — you’ll need to physically power it back up. Confirm before tapping, because there’s no undo.

Open Logs to download diagnostic files from your device. There are two:

  • CeraLive log — activity from the CeraLive application itself.
  • System log — the broader OS-level log from the device.

Tap Download next to either one to save it to your computer. If a download fails, an inline message appears with a Retry option. These files are for troubleshooting — share them with support when you’re reporting a problem.

Open Device Password to change the password you use to log in to the CeraLive web interface on your local network.

Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters) and confirm it in the second field. The Save button stays disabled until both fields match and meet the length requirement. Your current password isn’t shown or required — just set the new one and save.

Open SSH to manage remote terminal access to your device.

The dialog shows whether the SSH server is currently running. It also shows the SSH password for the ceralive user — you can copy it to your clipboard or reveal it with the eye icon. If you want a fresh password, tap Reset to generate a new one.

Use the Start SSH / Stop SSH button at the bottom to toggle the server on or off. The button updates once the change takes effect on the device.

SSH is intended for advanced troubleshooting. Turn it off when you don’t need it.

Open Versions to see the software versions installed on your device. The list includes:

  • CeraLive — the main application version.
  • SRTLA — the bonding sender version.
  • Bun Runtime — the backend runtime version.
  • CERALIVE Image — the device image version, when available.

This screen is read-only. Use it when support asks which version you’re running, or to confirm an update installed correctly.

Open Device Pairing to connect your device to your CeraLive cloud account. Pairing is what lets you manage your device remotely, monitor stream health from the cloud dashboard, and use cloud-hosted receivers.

Tap Generate claim code to get a short code. Enter that code in the cloud dashboard to complete the pairing. The code is valid for a few minutes — if it expires before you finish, it regenerates automatically. A QR code also appears so you can scan it with your phone to open the claim form directly.

Once paired, the dialog shows your device ID and subscription status.

For everything you can do after pairing — remote stream control, cloud receivers, and the dashboard — see the Cloud section.

You can also reach pairing-related settings from the Cloud Remote entry, which lets you choose your cloud provider and enter your remote key.
